WE ARE HIRING: Export Area Sales Manager

WE ARE HIRING:
Padley & Venables is a long established, successful company based in Dronfield, supplying rock drilling equipment and demolition and contractors’ tools to a worldwide customer base.

We are seeking an: EXPORT AREA SALES MANAGER

The Export ASM is responsible for developing business with existing distributors /customers and identifying potential new distributors/customers. The territory for each ASM will include some European and some worldwide regions particularly South America.
The ASM is expected to communicate with his/her accounts on all business aspects: commercial, technical, financial, marketing, administrative and logistical.
Key responsibilities:
Visiting key distributors/customers in the designated territory on an agreed schedule in order to develop existing sales and identify new business opportunities.
Maintain regular contact with your customers, when not travelling, with the support of the internal sales co-ordinators.
To build close relationships with key distributors/customers and liaise between them and internal P&V sections (Production Engineering, Laboratory, and Manufacturing etc)
The ASM will be responsible for planning his/her own itinerary for overseas trips in conjunction with distributors/customers.
Representing the company at exhibitions and assisting with the preparation of marketing materials.
Qualifications / experience required:
Sales experience – Preferred but not essential.
Essential:
Willingness to travel.
Spanish language skills, written and spoken
Good standard of numeracy, ability to negotiate from standard price lists.
Good IT skills, particularly Word and Excel.
Other: Visits may include a requirement to carry out field trips to mines, construction projects (e.g. tunnels).
When not travelling the ASM is based in P&V Dronfield Head Office.
Benefits: Salary dependant on experience. Bonus scheme, company vehicle, free parking, private health care, death in service benefit, holidays of 25 days plus statutory, company sick pay scheme after qualifying period.

BAUMA CHINA 2024 REPORT…

After the difficult trip getting to China with many trials and tribulations, the P&V exhibition team had four very busy days on the stand.
It was a great opportunity to meet up with existing customers from many different parts of P&V’s worldwide dealer and distributor network.
Our products are sold in over 75 countries around the world. Customers from countries including South America, the Middle East and Asia managed to meet us and we wish to show our gratitude to them for coming and thank them for the continued support and business.
We also had a lot of interest from potential customers into the New T38, 64mm Ninja bit, and corresponding rod and Doofor shank being displayed.
The advantages of the Ninja bits include:
Distinct angled face grooves and deeper lateral flushing flutes aid rock removal from the bit face which increases drilling speed. The open face design of the bit allows rock to fall into the void between the three face tips before being crushed which adds directional stability and helps to create a straighter hole. This in turn reduces bending stresses on the rods, shanks and couplings thus reducing breakages and reducing overall drill steel consumption.
The straighter holes also reduce the need for costly secondary drilling and blasting which is often the case with deviating holes.
We also met many different people, some becoming friends and are grateful for the wonderful hospitality of the Chinese people.
The P&V team were also impressed with the organisation of Bauma China 2024, the quality of the exhibition venue and the professionalism and hopefully, we will be able to return in two years’ time.
